What is this?
Is It Watchable solves a simple problem: you want to know if a basketball game is worth watching, but you don't want the score spoiled.
We crunch the live play-by-play data, analyze leads, comebacks, player performances, and clutch moments to give you a spoiler-free recommendation on whether you should tune in.
How it Works
Every NBA game is assigned a Watchability Score from 1 to 10. This score is generated automatically by a custom algorithm that looks at:
- Closeness: Games that stay tight in the 4th quarter get a massive boost. Blowouts get severely penalized.
- Lead Changes: Back-and-forth action creates a higher score.
- Star Power: High-scoring individual performances (e.g. 40+ point explosions) can elevate an otherwise okay game.
- Comebacks: Overcoming large deficits dramatically increases a game's watchability factor.
The Recommendations
An absolute classic. A buzzer-beater, wild comeback, or incredible playoff-level intensity. Drop what you're doing and watch.
A thoroughly entertaining, competitive basketball game that is worth your time.
It's fine. It might get out of hand late, or perhaps it was a bit sloppy, but hardcore fans will still enjoy it.
